Chinese car copies are back, Dreame wants to manufacture this Rolls-Royce inspired SUV in Europe
Remember this name, because in less than a month since they announced their entry into the automotive market, they have already made serious promises to launch new luxury electric cars. Dreame will go further and revive the old trend of 'Chinese copies'.

On August 28, the tech giant Dreame, known in China as one of the strongest brands in the sale of home appliances and vacuum cleaners, announced that it was fully entering the electric car race. Another brand, and another one that is directly entering from a business that has nothing to do with automobiles.
Perhaps they have seen the enormous success that the Xiaomi guys have had, and the heads of Dreame have dreamed of replicating it. However, in this last month, they have made many headlines mainly for one reason, as is evident from the images.
And Dreame has already announced what their two first luxury vehicles will be and their intentions to manufacture them here in Europe, very close to Tesla's Gigafactory in Berlin. Do these vehicles sound familiar to you? It seems that Chinese copies are back.

Dreame and its Cullinan inspired SUV
A decade ago, it was very common to talk about 'cheap Chinese car copies'. That was before manufacturers from the Asian giant took design and production of electric cars seriously, as they are doing now.
Now, Chinese brands are earning a huge reputation. We will see if Dreame is capable of doing it after presenting the designs of their first two bets on wheels. The latest is the SUV you see on the cover: a vehicle clearly inspired by the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, with a name still unknown.
The front end is almost a copy, especially if we look at the grille. But in the side view, we also see many similar details, such as the rear door openings with hinges, although here the Chinese have taken a risk with a pillarless design. At the back, the optical groups are also a copy.

Dreame has announced some details of what will be its first luxury SUV: it will be electric, with an option to have a range extender, with four independent motors (one for each wheel) and a 100 kWh CTP 4.0 battery pack. Inside, there will be a huge space thanks to its 3.20-meter wheelbase, with reclining captain's chairs in the back at 145 degrees and up to 1.2 meters of legroom.
It will have adaptive suspension connected to LiDAR sensors and cameras thanks to its smart chassis with AI algorithm, rear wheels capable of turning up to 24 degrees, a turning radius of less than 5 meters… Its market arrival is expected for 2027.

The Bugatti Chiron copy and others expected
Apparently, Dreame Technology will enter the automotive sector with two high-end business lines: with Starry Automotive, it will bet on vehicles similar to this SUV we have talked about; with its original name Dreame, it will look into the eyes of some supercars on the market.
This last one was presented weeks ago as a render and is expected to be unveiled next month during CES in Las Vegas. It is a four-door sports sedan whose design is a very blatant copy of the Bugatti Chiron, and promises accelerations from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.8 seconds.
Chinese media provided some additional details about Dreame's plans, which is working on building a production plant in Berlin in partnership with the French banking giant BNP Paribas. Apparently, the Chinese brand aims to develop four vehicles with shared components, so now we wonder: what other two vehicles will they replicate to complete their range?
