Car sales in Spain closed the month of July 2025 with a total of 98,337 units. This number of registrations represents a growth of 17.1% compared to the same month last year. Toyota dominates the Spanish automotive market thanks to its hybrid Corolla and Yaris Cross.

The Spanish automotive market accelerates its growth. Car sales in Spain closed the month of July 2025 with a total of 119,125 units. This volume of registrations, when compared to the same period last year, translates into a significant growth of 17.1%. The good performance of electrified car registrations, combined with the additional boost in the DANA area with the Restart Auto+ Plan, is behind this growth.
The accumulated sales figures also show a positive result. Between January and July, new car registrations totaled 708,139 units, 14.3% more than in the first seven months of 2024.

What have been the standout vehicles? If we take a look at the ranking of the 10 best-selling cars in Spain during July, we will find significant changes compared to previous editions of this monthly delivery list. However, there is no novelty in the model that leads this market. Once again, the victory has been for the Dacia Sandero.
In second place is the Hyundai Tucson, which claims the title of the most popular SUV. And closing the podium, in third place, is the SEAT Ibiza. Just outside the podium is the Toyota Yaris Cross, which is achieving extraordinary sales figures. This model is key to the dominance that the Toyota brand maintains over the Spanish automotive market.
The middle of the table does not present major surprises with the Toyota Corolla in fifth place while the Volkswagen T-Roc remains in sixth position. Just behind is the SEAT Arona, which maintains good performance.
We cannot overlook the return of the KIA Sportage to the Top 10 and that, for the second consecutive month, the MG ZS has been left out of this ranking. The most popular Chinese car continues to suffer from the departure of the old model and the consolidation of the renewed ZS which, let us remember, is available in a purely thermal version and in a HEV hybrid version.

Electric car sales in Spain closed July with 8,691 units registered, which translates to a rise of 127.10% compared to the same month last year. The market share of electric cars is 8.84%. Between January and July, electric car registrations totaled 54,927 units, 89.58% more than in the first seven months of 2024.

The bifuel car continues to grow. During July 2025, gas car sales in Spain totaled 3,917 units. This number of registrations represents a growth of 54.46% compared to the same period last year. The market share of gas cars is 3.98%.
The accumulated sales figures also show a positive result. Between January and July, registrations of bifuel cars totaled 34,931 units, 91.32% more than in the first seven months of 2024. Almost all gas cars registered during this period are adapted to LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas). It is the most popular alternative fuel.
