Audi finalizes the new SQ7 2026, a luxury SUV, seven seats, and with a V8 engine that refuses to disappear
Testing with the pre-production prototypes of the new Audi SQ7 2026 continues on German roads. The sportiest version of one of the brand's largest SUVs has been spotted again in spy photos, with minimal camouflage. A beast that will impress with its performance but also with its modern style.

The ambitious model renewal program at Audi continues its course. The German brand is working hard to have a cutting-edge product range by mid-2026. The heart of the offer has already been completely updated, and after the launch of the new Q3, another SUV will be next on the list.
Because the development of the new generation of the Q7 is coming to an end. Black camouflage is common in units close to production. The sportiest Q7 is well-equipped, as it comes with powerful aluminum alloy wheels measuring no less than 22 inches in diameter. The new Audi SQ7 will no longer be one of the top-end SUVs. That role has been assigned to a Q9 that we have also seen in testing, although that does not take away from it being one of the most luxurious. With three rows of seats and seven seats, it will still have a large cargo volume in the trunk, in addition to the modern digital driving position in the front seats.
But, to the most important question that may concern fans of gasoline engines and Audi's sporty SUVs, whether it will be a plug-in hybrid or not, these spy photos confirm that it will not be. The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 is under the front hood, an engine that will continue to improve its efficiency and performance despite the power remaining above 500 hp. With quattro traction and an 8-speed automatic transmission, it will cost, at least, 130,000 euros...
