Hadjar to Red Bull, Lindblad to Racing Bulls and Tsunoda… rival of Colapinto in Alpine?
The end of the season is approaching and there are still some vacancies on the 2026 Formula 1 grid. Two of them in the Red Bull teams, where Yuki Tsunoda has it almost impossible. Now, the Japanese seems to be directing his steps towards Alpine.

While Mercedes continues to delay the confirmation of George Russell and Kimi Antonelli as drivers for 2026, the rest of the teams with free spots for next year are in a frenzy of activity.
And Red Bull is the one that has the most decisions to make, as it currently has only one confirmed driver: Max Verstappen. It is true, however, that Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson will continue with total certainty, with the New Zealander remaining in Racing Bulls.
“Everything is in the hands of Franco Colapinto, who if he performs satisfactorily in the upcoming races will retain his position”
Hadjar and Lindblad will have their opportunity
Now, what will happen with the Frenchman? Everything indicates that Red Bull has decided to promoteIsack Hadjar as Verstappen's partner in 2026. However, the truly relevant thing is that Yuki Tsunoda would be expelled from the program, as the one who would accompany Lawson in the junior team would be Arvin Lindblad.
The young British-Swedish 18-year-old has made a good impression in the tests he has conducted with Formula 1 cars, and although in his first season in Formula 2 he alternates brilliance with mistakes and incidents typical of his age, the conclusion is that he is already ready to make the jump to the top category.
Therefore, it is more than likely that Yuki Tsunoda will have to look for another team to remain on the grid. Additionally, it is worth noting that Honda is also leaving Red Bull to officially begin its partnership with Aston Martin.

Tsunoda sets his sights on Alpine
The only option left for Tsunoda in case his departure from Red Bull is confirmed would be Alpine. Currently, everything is in the hands of Franco Colapinto, who if he performs satisfactorily in the upcoming races will retain his position in the team managed by Flavio Briatore.
But, as we recently told you, the Italian also has other alternatives and Tsunoda wants to be part of that list. For now, it is the Japanese who is probing the Anglo-French team, putting on the table his experience in the category and his excellent relationship with the other driver of the team, Pierre Gasly.
There is no doubt that Gasly will support him before the management of Alpine, but for now Tsunoda is not one of the first options to be considered by the team based in Enstone.
None of these movements will be confirmed in the short term, so we will have to wait several weeks, even until mid-November or early December. Meanwhile, both executives and representatives continue to play their cards in the offices.
