About me

My name is David Sánchez de Castro (Madrid, May 1984) and I am a sports journalist. More precisely, a multi-sport journalist. I started at Radio Marca, thanks to Andrés Montes (always in my memory, master), and from there I moved to Universidad y Empleo, before becoming part of the Penalty project. After the first free sports newspaper in our country disappeared, I returned to sports to spend an intense summer-autumn at Punto Radio, under the orders of Josep Pedrerol. Once my time there was over, I joined ADN.es, where I truly matured as a journalist. I experienced the Euro 2008 at that newsroom, but again the 'suits' decided that it wasn't working.

From February 2009 to October 2012, I grew with and helped to grow one of the most authentic media outlets in the national journalistic landscape: Sportyou.es, where I dedicated myself to my passion for Formula 1, among other things. This opened the door for me to collaborate with the Colpisa agency, part of the Vocento group, since the 2011 season. In newspapers like 'El Norte de Castilla', 'Las Provincias', or 'Sur', I have covered the latest Formula 1 championships.
