What are "push notifications"
It is a system of web pages that allows exchanging alerts with the user. This way, the user can receive a notification on their mobile device about new content as if they had received a message from WhatsApp or Facebook, instantly. In this way, they can be quickly informed about news, reports, and other content that might be of interest.
Why am I receiving notifications on my mobile or computer?
You are receiving this type of message on your mobile or computer because, at some point, you decided to. When accessing Motor.es, a message -like the one you see in the previous screenshot- asked you if you would like to receive push notifications, or not, and you selected the ‘Allow’ option.
What information does Motor.es have about me?
None. Push notifications work between the server and the client -your web browser-, through a numerical identifier. We do not store any personal information, and that is why you have to deactivate the notifications yourself. We cannot do it for you.
How to stop receiving push notifications from Motor.es
You can do this on any device and web browser, but it is done differently on each one. Here’s how:
Google Chrome
On the computer
In the upper right corner, click the icon with three vertical dots and follow the path Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > Notifications. Here you will see a list of websites that can send you push notifications, in the Allow section; locate Motor.es and click on its icon with three vertical dots and choose the Remove or Block option.
On the mobile
Access Motor.es and to the right of the web address bar, click the icon with three vertical dots; then, select Information > Site settings > Permissions
Mozilla Firefox
On the computer
Click in the upper right corner on the icon with three horizontal bars and select Options > Privacy & Security. In Permissions, under Notifications, select Settings and locate Motor.es. On the right, you will see the Status, you need to change it to Block and then click on Save changes.
On the mobile
Accessing Motor.es, in the upper left corner, tap the green lock and click on Edit site settings. You will see the option ‘Notifications’, which you need to check and then click on Clear.
Safari
On the computer
In the top bar, click on Safari > Preferences > Websites > Notifications. Locate Motor.es here and in the dropdown that appears to its right, choose the Deny option.
Microsoft Edge
On the computer
Click in the upper right corner on the icon of three horizontal dots and expand Settings > Advanced options > Manage permissions, this last one in the Permissions section of the Website. Find Motor.es and, on the right side, click the ‘X’ to remove it from the list and stop receiving notifications.
Other web browsers
If you are using another web browser that does not appear in this list and you are receiving notifications, locate the Settings section. The configuration related to notifications should be found in the Privacy and Security section, where you should see a list of web pages that have permission to send you notifications and where you can deactivate those from Motor.es.
