The range and equipment of the new Toyota Aygo X Cross Hybrid
Toyota has structured the new Aygo X Cross Hybrid range into the trim levels Play, Like, Chic, and GR Sport. The smallest hybrid SUV from Toyota comes with a wide range of standard equipment in areas such as connectivity, comfort, and, above all, safety. All versions come with the latest generation of Toyota Safety Sense.
It features, among other driving assistants, an improved pre-collision safety system and erroneous acceleration control at low speed. This safety equipment is complemented by an updated adaptive cruise control. In the multimedia section, this model is well-equipped with the Toyota Smart Connect system that offers wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The standard touchscreen is 9 inches, while in the higher trims, it is 10.5 inches respectively.
Special mention for the GR Sport trim as it is a new addition to the range. This trim brings out the sportier and more dynamic side of this SUV. It is distinguished by a raised front grille, exclusive GR machined wheels, and an interior with black and gray details. But it’s not just about aesthetics, as the suspension and steering receive specific adjustments to improve dynamics.

Under the hood lies the renowned self-recharging hybrid technology (HEV). A powertrain composed of a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and a small electric motor to reach 116 hp and 120 Nm of maximum torque. This is an increase of 44 hp compared to the gasoline Aygo X Cross that is currently on sale. It is managed through a automatic transmission type e-CVT and a front-wheel drive system.

It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 10 seconds and has an average fuel consumption of only 3.8 liters per 100 kilometers and CO2 emissions of 87 g/km according to the WLTP cycle. Thanks to a lithium-ion battery, it can drive in electric mode in certain situations and for a specific period of time. As it is a hybrid car, it displays the ECO environmental label from the DGT with the advantages it entails.
