A big void is coming in Renault, the Arkana is in its final stretch
Initially, it arrived to become the star of emerging markets, but the goal materialized in Western Europe. The Renault Arkana, which has been one of the great strongholds of the Diamond brand, is about to say goodbye definitively. An SUV that is already disappearing from European configurators.
Let it be known that those from the Diamond are keeping secrets, and they are not going to confirm it either, but the reality is that one of their most representative models is very close to saying goodbye. The Renault Arkana is bidding farewell to the market and it is only a matter of time before it quietly exits through the back door, without tributes or anything for a model that has been a golden goose.
An absolute success, and without any doubt, since its launch but it had an expiration date and is approaching faster than it seems. The disappearance of the Arkana has been planned for a long time, a model that is sold out and for which Renault has no replacement prepared, leaving a significant void in the range that the French brand intends to be filled by the Symbioz, which we have already subjected to an intense test.
Renault cuts its range, the significant loss of the Diamond
The "extended" Captur is a very interesting option but, even before its launch, it was already seen that it was going to be surrounded by a significant rival like the Arkana, so the best thing that can happen is for the latter to leave the range, despite the fact that both models have completely different characters. And that is exactly what is starting to happen in some European countries, like the land of windmills.
The Arkana has disappeared from the manufacturer's catalog in the Netherlands, and this has been confirmed by the manufacturer's division, stating that "Now that the Symbioz model has consolidated in the market, we have decided to suspend the sale of the Arkana to maintain the coherence and clarity of the range. The characteristics and price of the Arkana were very similar to those of the Symbioz".
The Arkana will remain available in Spain until 2026
The Arkana, which was the only model in the range that still did not present Renault's new design language, will never do so, but it will with Dacia. The Romanians are in charge of developing the Arkana's successor, which will be based on the innovative Bigster, will debut a commercial name, and will become the flagship of Mioveni.
For now, the Renault Arkana remains available in the vast majority of European markets, including Spain. The model will remain on the assembly lines until the end of the year, when it is expected to be discontinued although it will be on sale until the available stocks are liquidated.
