The PHEV engine of the new Omoda 7 SHS
As it is an electrified vehicle, and more specifically plug-in, all eyes are on the propulsion system. If we take a look under the hood, we will find a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine with four cylinders producing 143 HP. A block accompanied by a 150 kW (204 HP) electric motor. It is managed through a DHT automatic transmission and features a front-wheel drive configuration.
Thanks to a LFP battery with the renowned Blade technology from the giant BYD, it can travel in electric mode for more than 90 kilometers. The total autonomy (electric + gasoline) exceeds 1,200 kilometers. These figures, the brand emphasizes, are pending homologation. In any case, it will display the 0 Emissions environmental label from the DGT with the mobility advantages that this entails.

When will it hit the market? The new Omoda SUV will arrive in the Spanish market before the year ends. If all goes as planned, the Omoda 7 SHS will be on sale sometime between November and December. Prices are, for now, a mystery.
