Regarding the mechanical section, the revamped Peugeot compact begins its commercial journey with three engine options. All electrified to a greater or lesser extent, with automatic transmission and a front-wheel drive configuration.
The entry-level option is a 1.2-liter turbo gasoline engine with 145 HP. This block is electrified with 48-volt mild hybrid (MHEV) technology. Therefore, it allows displaying the ECO environmental label from the DGT with all the mobility advantages that entails.
For drivers seeking maximum versatility in these times, the brand offers a new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant that combines a 1.6 turbo gasoline engine with an electric motor to reach 195 HP. Thanks to a 17.2 kWh lithium-ion battery, this engine allows for electric driving for 85 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle.
Lastly, and no less important, is the electrified option at the highest level. The improved Peugeot E-308. The 100% electric variant combines a 58.4 kWh lithium-ion battery with a 115 kW (156 HP) motor. It claims a range of 450 km according to the WLTP cycle. Additionally, it now features V2L technology and new charging-related functions.
