The Koreans are already working with prototypes of a new Hyundai Tucson, an SUV that we have recently seen in spy photos, completely camouflaged but revealing some interesting details. Those that we have transferred to this preview which, according to our information, faithfully reproduce the design that this new Hyundai Tucson will showcase at the end of next year.
Unveiling the future Hyundai Tucson 2027
As you can see, the influence of the KONA is more than notable, with a long strip that crosses the front transversely and with two separate appendages, all dedicated to daytime running lights. The main headlights have moved to a lower position, giving it a look closer to the optical groups of the KIA Niro.
The rendering shows a silhouette very different from that of the current Tucson, thanks to the features seen in the test prototypes. For example, the A-pillars are very inclined, the roof profile is practically horizontal -slightly descending at the rear pillar- and the third window now has a more angular shape. The spy photos suggest that the rear design will be very similar to the front of this new Hyundai Tucson. The 45-degree angled appendages will be present, as will the transverse strip. The rest of the functions will be divided between the lower part of the bumper and the skirt.

For now, it has been impossible to take a look at the interior of this new Hyundai Tucson, but we have seen that the dashboard is covered from end to end, which is a clear indication that it will feature a large panoramic screen. A multimedia platform based on the new Pleos operating system, which promises speed, a wide variety of applications, and a smarter onboard experience with very sharp graphics.
Hyundai will bet on advanced level 2.5 driving assistants, so some will allow lifting hands off the wheel or performing autonomous overtaking. One of the most interesting details of this new Hyundai Tucson, which will be presented after the summer of 2026 and will arrive in 2027, will only have MHEV, HEV, and PHEV gasoline engines, these with 100 kilometers of autonomy, in a range without diesel engines.
