Giant completely renews its most versatile eBike. The Explore E+ 2025 is designed for those who commute daily in the city, but also for those who dream of weekend getaways or multi-day routes. It does this by adding state-of-the-art safety technology, a more efficient motor, and a battery with extended lifespan.

Car safety... on a bike

The new Aegis system turns the Explore E+ into a guardian on two wheels. Its radar detects vehicles approaching from behind and adjusts the rear light pattern to improve visibility. Additionally, it includes Tire Checker, which monitors tire pressure in real-time to prevent punctures or loss of grip.

Not only that, it also includes a E-Lock that digitally locks the motor and triggers an alarm if someone tries to tamper with it. It even integrates with Apple Find My, to locate it from the iPhone in case of theft.

The Giant Explore E+ is offered in two frame styles and with a 100 mm travel suspension fork.

Power and autonomy to go further

But the Giant Explore E+ is much more. At its heart works the SyncDrive Pro 2 motor, with 85 Nm of torque and up to 400% assistance. Meanwhile, the EnergyPak 800 battery promises up to 2,300 charge cycles and 10% less capacity loss than the previous generation, enough for long days of assisted pedaling.

Completing the set is the Smart Assist feature, which with six sensors adapts the push to the terrain and pedaling force in a practically instinctive way.

Ready for any terrain

Structurally, the aluminum frame —available in standard or low-bar version— is combined with a 100 mm travel fork, clearance for tires up to 62 mm, and an option for a dropper post. The rack, fenders, and trailer mounts come standard, making it suitable for both urban use and bike touring.

Integrated cockpit of the Giant Explore E+

In turn, the integrated cockpit with a bright display, bilateral remote control, and RideControl Go 2 button keeps everything at hand without visible cables.

For now, Giant offers two configurations:

  • Explore E+ 3 with Shimano Deore Linkglide 1x10 transmission: 3,599 euros.
  • Explore E+ 1 with Shimano CUES Di2 1x11 transmission: 4,599 euros.

With this technological leap, the Giant Explore E+ positions itself as one of the most versatile and safe eBikes on the market, capable of covering everything from the commute to work to a journey through dirt paths without lacking power... or peace of mind. And all at a price that, while high, remains reasonable for this type of bike and equipment.
