Skoda prepares a very special Fabia, inspired by the legendary RS and for less than 30,000 euros
Great news from Skoda, which is working on an interesting novelty to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the Czech manufacturer. The brand has decided to honor sportiness with a special Fabia. The folks from Mladá Boleslav have indicated that it will be superior to the Monte Carlo, but not an RS, and it will not disappoint in the slightest.

Skoda does not rest. The Czech brand remains true to its line of giving customers what they demand, although sometimes it strays from the path and other times it is so focused that it does not attend to other issues that interested parties request. Those who love sportiness are the great forgotten by many manufacturers, including the Czech one.
The manufacturer, which is working on a deep revision of the Fabia, and if plans go well, it is expected to be presented before the end of the year, will bring an important novelty that has not been seen for more than a decade. A more sporty Fabia, as sporty as the RS that appeared on the market with the second generation of this utility vehicle.

The most sporty Skoda Fabia will no longer be the Monte Carlo
On sale until 2014, that Fabia RS featured the famous 1.4 TSI gasoline engine with a maximum power of 180 HP. A spirit that will return in the deep revision that the utility vehicle is undergoing, and Klaus Zellmer has not only confirmed it in an Australian media, but has revealed quite a few details about this more fun Fabia that will arrive in 2026.
The head of Skoda has indicated that it is a special edition, based on the Fabia Monte Carlo, but it will not be an RS at all, created to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the Czech manufacturer, and that has nothing to do with the Fabia created by the specialists at ABT Sportline. For now, what is known is that it will feature a front bumper equipped with a spoiler on the lower lip, a spoiler at the end of the roof, 18-inch wheels or red-painted brake calipers.
The most sporty Skoda Fabia will approach 200 HP and 30,000 euros
Modifications will come to the suspension, which will adopt a firmer profile, while the ride height will be reduced by a few millimeters to improve driving dynamics. The key ingredients for a Fabia "with RS genes", as Zellmer has referred to this version, although he has not committed to one of the most important extremes, that of the engine.
The powerful 2.0 TSI with 190 HP will not be on board, which would imply a completely new homologation and what Skoda prefers to avoid, but the 1.5-liter TSI that should not exceed 160 HP will be. Zellmer has given too many clues for us to imagine this heir to the Fabia RS, which may be available with a six-speed manual transmission in addition to the seven-speed DSG, the number of units that will be put on sale or the price. We do not know, but you can start preparing around 29,000 euros...
