Beyond the equipment, which is a determining factor for purchasing a new car, all eyes are on the propulsion system. Something logical when it comes to an electric vehicle. The "heart" of the new bZ4X is a 73 kWh lithium-ion battery. The entry-level model is the 230E which delivers 224 HP and 269 Nm of maximum torque. This power is sent to the front axle. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds and claims a range of 569 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle.
If you are looking for superior performance, Toyota offers the 350E model. It is the all-wheel drive AWD-i variant as it has two motors, one for each axle. It develops a power of 343 HP and 269 Nm of maximum torque. It completes the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds and claims a WLTP range of 468 km respectively.
It should be noted that the mechanical offer is not complete. Later, an entry-level engine of 123 kW (167 HP) with smaller batteries will be added, which will significantly reduce the starting price.
