Porsche does not want to leave the throne to Xiaomi, the Manthey Racing Taycan Turbo GT aims for the record
If there was any doubt left, first in black and now in the exclusive color of the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT. The latest great work that Manthey Racing is working on has posed again in some new spy photos, a brutal electric car born to surpass everything about the Xiaomi Su7 Ultra.
It has barely been a month since the specialists from Manthey Racing took a vacation. The competition division of Porsche has great plans ahead, working on the revision of its special kit for the 911 GT3 RS and also facing a more than significant challenge, refining a large electric vehicle like the most radical Porsche Taycan.
A year and a half ago, the iconic German brand decided to launch the Taycan Turbo GT, not only to establish itself as the most powerful electric car in the world but to put distance between itself and a Tesla that was hot on its heels. The result is one of the wildest sedans, with no less than 1,100 HP, a Taycan Turbo GT that we saw a few weeks ago on the full German track dressed with a series of elements that hinted at something much more radical.

Yes, because now it is Manthey Racing that is in charge of developing the corresponding aerodynamic package to silence critics and cover the mouth of a particular brand: that of Xiaomi, which is promoting its Su7 all over the European continent and even forcing Ferrari to dig deep to see if there is something to really fear or if they are just simple rumors from the Chinese.
And, although we have already seen it fly over Nürburgring, now with this metallic purple color we can see more clearly a series of special details that, for now, some are still provisional. Rest assured that aggressiveness is guaranteed, even though the front and rear fenders are not final but it can be seen that they will be significantly "fatter" to accommodate larger forged alloy wheels.
Aerodynamics is essential at Porsche, the Chinese replace it with power
Aerodynamics is key, hence it features a new spoiler on the front lip, ventilation ducts on both sides of the front hood, air deflectors at the ends of the front bumper, aerodynamic plates over the wheels, and a tremendous diffuser on the rear skirt that spans the entire width. Of course, one of the conditions for mounting this suggestive package on the sedan will be that it has the Weissach package, which is optional.
Porsche and Manthey want to break Xiaomi's record, and to do so they are making the Taycan Turbo GT a beast that will be very difficult to surpass, because it will be faster. There is no doubt about that, but how they will achieve it is another matter. One thing that sets Porsche apart from Chinese brands is that they do not have specialists in aerodynamics, an essential tool to achieve such a goal, which does not involve having more than 1,100 HP.
