The British brand stands strong against fierce competition with a completely renewed model range, continuously expanding with new versions set to arrive in the coming months. An Aston Martin that is in celebration, as six decades of passion for convertibles within the Gaydon brand have just been completed.

The main body style of Aston Martin has been coupes, but they have also had more than suggestive Cabrio models, a variant they launched sixty years ago, and are now celebrating with a special edition for two of their most representative models among the folding roof cars. The DB12 Volante and the Vanquish Volante are clear candidates and protagonists.

The curious debut of Aston Martin in the world of Cabrio

The name "Volante" debuted in 1965, aboard one of the brand's rarest models, with only 37 units produced in a year. You may not know this, but since this rare Aston Martin, the convertible's soft top folds and unfolds in a "K" shape and takes 14 seconds to open and 16 seconds to close, at speeds of up to 50 km/h.

A symbol for the DB12 and Vanquish, which are offered in a limited edition of 60 units each, both painted in two shades of a typically British color closely related to competition.

While the body is coated in elegant "Pentland Green", the front hood is painted in "Westminster Green" and both are adorned with bronze-finished inserts in the front fender vents, the fine horizontal slats of the radiator grille, or the imposing 21-inch alloy wheels.

The DB12 and Vanquish convertibles boast performance

The interior of this duo is completely covered in the finest leathers, combined with walnut wood veneers and custom embroidery for the 60th anniversary. Of course, as is customary, the combination of these photos is just a proposal, because Aston Martin adapts to the wishes of customers, no matter the cost.

The new Vanquish Volante is a brutal supercar. The 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine takes care of that, with a maximum power of 835 hp that reaches a top speed of 343 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. If that's too much, you have the DB12 Volante with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 offering a maximum power of 680 hp, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 325 km/h.

The price of this pair of special Aston Martin DB12 and Vanquish convertibles is not known, but the brand has confirmed that they can already be ordered and that deliveries of the units are scheduled for before the end of the year. Depending on when you order, you could receive it in 2026...
